We are really big on listening to music in our house and my kids know quite a bit about the music today. I don't put restrictions on the music they listen to, but I don't buy them music that has a lot of swear words in it. We mostly listen to country, but they know some rock, some rap, and R&B. If they have questions about the song we talk about it, but mostly we are too busy singing our hearts out.
This past week Jakey has taking a liking to Lady Gaga's song Paparazzi (he says it has a good beat). I was flipping through the channels and he says "Stop Mom, that's Gaga's Popsarotly!"
Tonight driving home from my sister in laws, I changed the station mid-song and Jakey speaks up from the back seat "Uh, Mom, I think you accilently changed the song."
Jojo has started studying multiplication this week and she came home with a neat way to remember the rule for 0's and 1's.
0's = It's the king and wants everyone to be just like it.
1's = It's a mirror so the numbers see themselves in there.
I thought that was such a neat way to teach the kids those little facts. It's something they'll always remember. When Jojo explains these new teaching ways to me, she sounds just like a teacher herself. She's very confident and really understands what is being taught to her.

Maybe I should use JoJo's rules for my college students! They can't add half the time, let alone multiply!
I think I know who Lady Gaga is. Wasn't she on Dancing with the Stars this last season? I really liked her, if that is who I am thinking of. Jakey is right...good beat. Love that kid.
