Stepping out...

...of my comfort zone for a bit. I must say that I survived and had a GREAT laugh at the end of it!
On Friday, my friend asked me if I wanted to take a beginners pole dancing class. At first I thought "I have no upper body strength and not enough coordination to do that!" But then I figured that since it's beginners, it probably wouldn't be too difficult. So I agreed and we headed out to our class. When we arrived we realized we were the only white girls there. A bit awkward, but everyone was really nice, the music was great, and the instructors were a lot of fun. Since it was a beginners class the workout wasn't too intense, but I did feel like I got a good stretch throughout my whole body. On the way home, my friend and I chatted that there were quite a few big girls in the class. We gave them credit for getting out and doing some exercise. Conversation moved on and I didn't think anything more of it.
Fast forward to the next morning and my friend informs me (through hysterical laughing) that we had attended the "Big and Sexy" beginners pole dancing class! LOL Can you imagine what those ladies were thinking of my friend and I! LOL
I guess stepping out of my comfort zone WAS good for the soul!
