There's nothing she can't do!

My Jojo is such a great kid! I know everyone thinks their child is amazing and I'm no different. Jojo is on the 5th grade debate team (among being Student Council secretary, in a gifted program, a competition cheerleader, and a crossing guard) for her school. This is the first year they have done this and no one was really sure what to expect. They have met during school hours to research and go over notes, and have had one practice debate against their principal. Their topic was the pros and cons of television. Her school was to do the pros and the other school was the cons. Today was their debate and they ROCKED it!!! I was sitting between her teacher and her principal and we were a ball of sweaty nerves. Our kids had their facts straight, their game faces on, and they did an amazing job! They brought the W home!! Jojo truly isn't afraid to try new things. She sounded calm and collected while stating her facts. She was prepared and truly believed in what she was saying. She was a good sport when they won and graciously high fived each of the other kids on the opposing team. She gave huge hugs to her teacher, me, and her Nana who was a judge. It was truly a lovely Mommy moment. I'm glad that she's not a shy, wallflower like me, she definitely takes after her Daddy with the I-can-rule-the-world attitude!
