Adventures...
A friend of mine has bought a restaurant/bar here in Toledo. It's not something she longed to do, just happened to stumble upon it and was able to make it happen. She's like that...grabs the bull by the horns and goes. With my life as busy as it, I wasn't able to help her out as much as I wanted to, but whenever I had some spare time, I was there. At first I was all excited for her and her boyfriend to start on this adventure. The more I was there and saw how much was going on ALL.THE.TIME, I got nervous. All the decisions that had to be made, the paint colors, the food choices, prices, which vendor to go with, what size glasses, what kind of plates, etc. All the meetings. All the phone calls. What to name the place. It never stopped. I would give my input if asked, but I knew if I gave too much input, it would be too much at once. Each time I arrived, I was amazed at the progress and how much people were stepping up to help a great person.
On Friday, they were open for a private party for a friend. IT WAS AMAZING! The place is bright and has a great atmosphere. The paint colors make the place look so much bigger. The food was really good. The drinks were yummy. And seeing all our friends there to celebrate a birthday and the opening of a great establishment, was something I will remember for a long time. I'm not nervous for them anymore, I'm at ease with the decisions they made (and will continue to make). I'm overly excited for them to open. They both have good heads on their shoulders and know how to make things happen. I'm thankful they let me give some input and help out when I could. It's a place that I won't be able to frequent a lot, but when I can you'll know where to find me! lol

How cool. I've heard that opening/running a bar/restaurant is a ton of work. Probably so rewarding though. Best of luck to your friends!
