Jojo's joke...

Jojo has always enjoyed this joke

Some five-year old students are learning to read.
Yesterday one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said, "Look at this! It's a frickin' elephant!"
I took a deep breath, then asked..."What did you call it?"
"It's a frickin' elephant! It says so on the picture!"
And so it does...
" A f r i c a n Elephant "
Hooked on phonics! Ain't it wonderful?

Now that's funny, I don't care who you are. My kids don't use bad words, they don't even like saying "crap." When we were at the zoo the other day, we were going through the Africa part and when Jojo saw the sign for the African Elephant, she said (rather loudly) "Look Mom, it's a frickin' elephant!" We both chuckled until I noticed the lady in front of me. She was wide eyed and mouth wide open! When she noticed me looking at her, she just started shaking her head and walked away. She probably thought Jojo was cleaning up her language since she was in a public place. I informed Jojo that the next time she sees anything African, she should say it softly.
