Styrofoam and spary paint = FAIL

Jojo is doing a big project for her gifted class. We decided to start it last week, which meant no help from Daddy who was on storm. We bought the foam to construct the ship, glued it all together, cut it out to look like a ship that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle and set about spray painting it the appropriate colors. First coat just got soaked into the foam, so we waited for it to dry and applied a second coat. We stored it in the garage and didn't get a chance to check on it til today. MAJOR FAIL! The spray paint literally ate the foam and deformed all our hard work.
Next step now that Daddy is home, send him out to find some balsa wood (really soft and easy to work with) and rebuild. lol At least we have til the middle of April to work on it!

Even though it was a fail, I'm sure you ladies made some wonderful memories and had a few laughs about it! That's all that matters. ;)

I love your new background.

That's pretty funny. I'm trying to think of something you could've sealed it with...no bother since you will be getting some wood instead :)
