As I type this one of my bestest friends is starting to lose her Mom. Her Mom will probably not make it through the night. I cried right along with her tonight when she called to fill me in on what was happening. I couldn't make her feel better, I couldn't say anything to make the hurting stop, I couldn't hug her and let her cry on my shoulder, I could only listen to her sobbing and tell her that I'm here for her, whatever she may need. My heart just breaks for her.
After I talked to my friend, I had to call my Mom just to tell her I love her. I can't imagine not being able to call my Mom for any reason, any time of day. My friend won't be able to do that shortly and I can't begin to imagine how that must feel.
If you are the praying type, please say a prayer for my dear friend. If your Mom is still alive, give her a call just to say I love you.

How sad. I'll be praying for your friend. And I'm so glad you are blessed with a great mom.
Now, you two are going to make me cry. It is a sad time to lose your Mom, without a doubt. You will be there for Angie and make sure that you are ready for the tears and let her talk about her Mom for as long as it takes. Everyone will say to her that her Mom is now in a better place, but that is not much comfort when you are missing someone. You will find the right way to help her. And thank you for the call telling me you love me. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. And I Love You, too! If you need me to watch the kids while you go to the funeral, just let me know.
So sorry for your loss. Now, I'm going to cry!
