Saturday we headed out early to Kalahari water park for the next stop on our National tour. The girls couldn't win Nationals because no one wanted to compete against them (how's that for an ego boost! lol) but we could go for Grand National Champs. This entails getting the highest score during that session out of all the teams competing, include mount teams (that do the lifts and stunts), dance teams, and the All-star teams. Jakey was asked to dress up as a Knight and be their mascot for the Victory Run. He was quite nervous until the Coach showed him his "routine", it was really cute to see.
Jojo and her Knightly brother.

Some of the squad and their Knight.

Our squad looked AMAZING! Even the parents of another team (from NY), commented on how great they did. We ended up taking first place (even if you don't compete against someone, your score still has to be high enough to place 1st) and we lost Grand National Champs by 6 points! The girls got the highest marks they've gotten all year and I couldn't be more proud of them.

We had hit the water park before the competition and were able to spend 2 hours hitting the rides and the lazy river. We had discount tickets, but it still would have been nice to hit a few more things. Jakey wasn't afraid of any of the rides and even dragged me onto their roller coaster! After the competition, Jason, Jakey, and I had to head back home because we had to bowl. One of the cheer Mom's offered to keep Jojo with her so that she wouldn't miss out on any of the fun. I bowled amazingly well and beat Jason 2 out of 3 games and almost (I was.this.close) beat my brother in one game.
Sunday was spent cleaning the house, laundry, and a bit of shopping at Old Navy. The weather turned cold pretty quick, so my plans of getting some Spring cleaning done outside, didn't happen :(
We've got a few free weekends til our last competition, so I'm hoping to fill them with some more family time and maybe a few girls nights in.
