Volunteering...

I got a call from the school librarian last week asking if I had any free time to volunteer at the Book Fair. Luckily I knew I had this morning free and was able to help out. I was amazed at how excited the kids were to get books. Their little eyes lit up when they saw the selection, the squeals they gave when I found the chosen book, and the politeness they used to us parents helping. It was really neat to do something different and not be stuck in the classroom.
After volunteering I came home to babysit the 1 year old and just as we sat down to lunch, the school calls me to inform me that Jakey has spiked a fever and is complaining of a sore throat. The exact same thing Jojo had last week :( The little boy I babysit woke up from his nap sounding froggy/croupy when he talked. Luckily Mom could get him to the doctor and he does indeed have croup and a slight ear infection. Summer really needs to get here!
