With our first competition under our belt, I can relax now. The girls took first place in their division (they were in the 12 and under in this comp.), both our individuals took first, and 1 of our girls got first place in the toe touch competition. I guess the 4 hour practice on Friday and getting a few of the girls together to practice on Saturday really paid off. Phhew! Now I can breathe a sigh of relief and the butterflies should be gone until we get to Nationals.
A local news crew was there and they interviewed our coach and had the whole squad show her a move. They taught her the "Benny" which is a move named after our coaches husband, who taught that to them. It was so neat to see them on the news and it was even better to see them take 1st place.
So now I'm relaxing on the couch, watching some football, calmly waiting our next competition next weekend. Thanks to all for the good luck wishes...they worked!!!
