Last night as I was tucking Jakey into bed he said, "Mom my ear just started hurting." Since he already has the sniffles, stuffy nose and now a cough, I checked the ear. It wasn't red and he didn't have a fever, so I told him "If it keeps hurting, let me know and I'll give you some aspirin and then we'll go to the doctor tomorrow morning." He looks at me with these really wide eyes and says "Um, Momma, you just said a bad word." "Mommy doesn't use bad words buddy." I replied. "Momma, you said the "a" word about my ear or the doctor." LOL So I had to explain to him that aspirin wasn't the "a" word without saying it too many times.
BTW, his ear wasn't hurting this morning and he actually looked better, now if we could just get him sounding better.
