Empty Nest...

We've officially sent our youngest baby to school. I'm a mixed bag of emotions right now. I'm super excited for him to start this new chapter in his life. I'm a ball of nerves knowing that he's in the care of some else right now. I'm sad that my little helper isn't around to beg me to help clean. I'm happy that he was up and ready so early and excited to go. I'm emotional because a little bit of his innocence is gone now that he'll be around other kids (I couldn't have said that better Angie!).
It's just an emotional time, but it's now behind us. I had my hubby home to lean on and my in-laws came over to document the event. My Mom also went into work late so that she could be here as well. Thanks everyone, it meant a whole bunch to have you here for me.

I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are feeling now that Jakey is in school. :(

If you ever need company during the day, feel free to let me know! We're always up for getting out of the house.

I wouldn't have missed it for anything. Not only because it is so nice to see Jakey so excited for school, but wanted to be there in case you needed a shoulder. I know EXACTLY how you feel.
Love you,
MOM

It sounds like Jakey had a great first day, and that you did okay too, mama :) We had Alex's open house tonight and the big day is Wednesday. He was a bit nervous before we went tonight but seemed super excited afterward, hopefully he still will be by Wednesday!
