Mother's Day creations...

This year I decided to make the Mother's Day gifts for my Mom, MIL, and SIL. I feel making something shows the true meaning of love. All Mom's sacrifice so much and I really wanted the Moms in my life to feel just how much I love them and am grateful for all that they do. I can't do a craft project without having a helper, so Jojo volunteered for the job. We had so much fun making the gifts and it was a special treat to work with her and talk to her without being interrupted.
Our project was making flower arrangements, it's something I've never done and I must admit I was a bit leery on how this would turn out. I went to a local craft store and bought metal buckets in colors I know the Moms' would like. I also bought floral foam, floral picks with bees, ladybugs, and butterflies, and of course the flowers. I wasn't sure what type of flowers would work, so I went with pretty spring colors in an assortment of flowers.
Jojo and I cut the floral foam to fit into the bucket, then we soaked it in a sink full of water for a couple of minutes. Then we set to work cutting the flowers in different heights and Jojo started putting them into the foam. She has quite the artistic little eye, and did a fantastic job on the arrangements. Once all the flowers were in place and the bucket was nice and full, we stuck a few of the floral picks into the foam and VIOLA! we were finished. Here is what we created:
