Lately Jojo has picked up on this crazy sock fad where she wears 2 mismatched socks. The socks never match her outfit especially when she mismatches them. She's always been the one that likes to pick out wacky outfits, I usually don't let her leave the house with them on. This sock fad though doesn't bother me. Jakey, on the other hand, seems to have a problem with it. While she was putting her mismatched socks on Jakey looks at her and says "Is that how you are supposed to wear those socks? Should it really look like that?!" Jojo's reply was "I like it that way." The look that Jakey gave her after that statement was like "okay, you are a bit crazy there lady."
I've had a few people ask about the meal that I made yesterday, so I figured I'd be a nice blogger friend and put the recipe out there for ya'll to see (and try).
Cheeseburger Pie
You will need:
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell
8 slices of processed cheese (I've also used sliced American cheese)
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1/3 c. chopped green bell pepper
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 beef flavored bouillon cube
3 eggs, beaten
2 tblsp. flour
optional:
chopped tomato and shredded lettuce
Preheat oven to 425. Bake pastry shell 8 minutes. Remove from oven and reduce oven temperature to 350. Meanwhile cut 6 slices of cheese into pieces. In large skillet, brown meat, pour off fat. Add tomato sauce, green pepper, onion, and bouillon; cook and stir until bouillon dissolves. Remove from heat; stir in eggs, flour and cheese pieces. Turn into prepared pastry shell. Bake 20-25 minutes or until hot. Arrange 2 slices of cheese on top (I cut them in half and lay them on the top.). Return to oven for 3 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Garnish with the tomato and lettuce if desired.
ENJOY!

They make socks like that for toddlers. They are totally mismatched and super cute. See, so she has a trend going. I love people who just do their own thing! : )
Do you remember the fads you wore back in the day? I often remember some of the crazy things we thought were cool when younger and laugh. I can only imagine what it'll be in another 10 years.
Thanks for the recipe. I just saw a similar one called "taco pies" and the filling was taco meat, etc.
Love cheeseburger pie! I've made that a few times :)
I remember the days of french rolled jeans, neon clothing, puffy painting shirts and the big bangs. Of course, I could never do the big bangs. My hair is way to curly for bangs. I would look like I had curly fries hanging on my forehead! lol
Amen Steffany! I am sure you all remember 'slouch socks' and wearing 2 pair to match your outfit. Of course your jeans had to have the french roll to show them off ;0)
Can't wait to try the recipe, I am always looking for ideas. Sounds good!
I haven't ever tried anything like the cheeseburger pie! thanks. I am always on the lookout for kid friendly foods :)
