Happiness is...

...receiving an award.

Steffany over at Sassy Times awarded me with this the other day.

I love getting awards, especially when they are from a true friend. Steff and I go way back, so I know getting this award from her means she thought it through, since she really doesn't do things haphazardly. Thanks Steff (and I'd totally choose you as my family as well)!
By receiving this award it means that I must list 10 things that make me do the happy dance no matter where I am, so here we go:

1. Hugs from my kids for no apparent reason. They mean the world to me and I love that they can show their love for me, whenever they want.
2. My husband coming home earlier than we thought. His work is crazy and calls for him to be gone for long stretches, he's been known to make surprise visits home. This time he's coming home a day earlier and he'll be here for the holidays. I just love that man!
3. E-mails and snail mail. Who doesn't like getting letters and e-mails?! It's especially nice this time of year to hear from people you haven't heard from lately. I've even got my kids doing happy dances when we get mail.
4. A baby's first belly laugh. It doesn't even have to be my baby, I'll dance like a fool to get them to belly laugh again.
5. Snuggling with my family under a warm blanket on a cold winters night. And yes, I would do that happy dance for this one, just under the blanket because it's oh-so cold out there!
6. Having a long fun chat with my Mom. I'm super lucky to have her in my life and to share the kind of relationship we do.
7. Playing games with Jason's side of the family. It's not often that we can get everyone together and willing to play so when we get that chance, a happy dance is definitely going to happen.
8. The Christmas dinner that my brothers, SIL, Mom, and step-dad are doing this year. I'm beyond excited to spend some time with them all. Dinner, drinks, and a movie, it just doesn't get any better than that!
9. Sleepy kids that fall asleep on me. I'm truly blessed that they both love to snuggle with me before they go to bed. And of course, I have to do the happy dance after I carry them to bed ;)
10. My hubby telling me he loves me. Even after being married for 13 years it still makes me smile and warms my heart (and of course, do the happy dance).
