Family fun and field day...

Today was Jojo's last game of the season. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather for a November day. Sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 60's is pretty darn good for NW Ohio! For Field Day the games are 20 minutes long and it's played on the high school field. It was neat to see the 2 squads combined and I think Jojo learned a new cheer or two.

After the game we came home to rake more leaves (ours is the last on our block to drop all the leaves) and get all the bulbs organized and put away for the winter. Our new neighbor was moving in so we introduced the dogs and chatted for a bit. I finished the last of the laundry to make sure Jason had enough stuff for work. He accepted a job on Friday, this time in New Jersey. Meh, not the perfect location, but it's work.
As I was finishing things up a friend called to let me know that the motorcycle toy drive was going on and all the bikes would be leaving shortly. He said that 600 bikes had just showed up, so they would probably be leaving in about 10 minutes. Jakey and I hopped in the car (Jojo doesn't think motorcycles are cool) and headed out. Once we saw the motorcycles coming, it was a steady stream of motorcycles 3 wide for 15 minutes! It was amazing! Jakey was in all his glory and had a lot of people waving at him - which he just thought was the neatest thing.

We had to hurry home so that we could see Jason off and then it was time to get the kids outside to play and finish the front yard clean-up. We ate dinner and then headed off to my youngest brothers volleyball game. It was still pretty nice out at 5:30, I could truly take more of these days.
I haven't seen my other brother yet, but I heard that the deer won again this year. He goes hunting up North every year and so far it's: Deer 2 Brother 1. Maybe next year?!
Hope everyone else had a great weekend and got to enjoy some of this wonderful weather!
